The lighthouse was built back in 1796 and is one of the oldest lighthouses in Sweden.
The International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend will be celebrated on August 20th-21st and the Falsterbo Lighthouse will be open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
From 9 a.m. until noon, the renowned birdwatcher P-G Bentz will be there to guide anyone interested in learning more about the birds that pass the Falsterbo Peninsula on their southbound journey.
The best way to get to the lighthouse is by foot or bike from the north.
