Skåne is one of Sweden’s most vibrant food regions. Around half of the country’s raw ingredients are produced here, attracting skilled chefs and restaurateurs. On the Falsterbo peninsula and in the surrounding area, you’ll find a wide range of restaurants and cafés offering flavours from all over the world – from classic Scanian dishes to Latin American empanadas and Asian fusion. At most restaurants, the menu is created in the kitchen. At Strandvillan in Ljunghusen, it begins somewhere entirely different – among pine trees, sandy soil and salt‑sprayed air, where ingredients are gathered, tasted and sometimes discarded long before they reach the guests’ plates.
Life Grows at Ekebo
At Ekebo Farm in Gessie, animals, people, and good food are allowed to grow. Among shaggy cows, free‑range pigs, and vegetable plots live Johan Larsson and Kristina Torstensson, united by a shared commitment to hard work and a passion for truly good food production.
